DETAILED ITINERARY

Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia. You’ll be greeted at the airport and hotel. After dinner, take a city sightseeing tour including a visit to Zaisan hill with its huge gold plated Buddha, a symbol of Mongolian national pride and cultural revival. See the monks chanting, spin some prayer wheels and view the intricately embroidered thanks. Overnight in the hotel.

After meet in Ulaanbaatar and start the tour to Mandalgobi, the capital of Dundgobi aimag by bus. After lunch, take a trip to Tsagaan suvarga. Tsagaan Suvarga means “White Stupa”. It is one of the most famous highlights in the Gobi. Tsagaan Suvarga is a strange natural formation of colorful, massive mud cliffs look like stupas. Hiking through the cliffs and take beautiful pictures. After hiking, our journey will continue to Dalanzadgad, the capital of Umnugobi aimag. Also you will accommodate at tourist camp.

Up early morning, our journey will start to “Yoliin am” /Eagle valley/ of “Gobi Gurvan Saikhan Mountain” national park. Also you will continue to journey to Khongor sand dunes. Khongor sand dune is one of the largest and most spectacular sand dunes in Mongolia. Rising as high 200 m, the dunes are 7-8 km wide and about 180 km long. Climbing the dunes is breathtaking, not only for the view at the top, the sand dunes makes a singing sound while you climb.

Our journey will continue to the Flaming Cliffs, where American explorer Roy Chapman Andrews found the cemetery of dinosaurs and the first dinosaur eggs ever discovered in the world. We will have some hiking through the cliffs in search of dinosaur fossils may found and see the Gobi tree grove named “Bayanzag.” Bayanzag means “rich in saxaul trees.” This tree only grows in Central Asian Gobi. Lunch is over here at guest house. We will go to Gobidiscovery-1 tourist camp and we will have dinner.

After breakfast, our journey will continue to “Baga gazriin chuluu” beautiful place. This mountains with granite stone massifs are located in Dund Gobi Province. Baga Gazriin Chuluu, is a 15km long and 10 km wide stone massif, is located 30 km to the south east of Adaatsag sum. There has a “Sum khukh burd” is one of many beautiful places in Baga gazriin stone massif.

Drive to Ulaanbaatar city. After lunch, you will be enjoying an evening concert of National Folklore.

After breakfast, drive to Giant Chinggis Khaan statue. The statues in total is 40m high and see as far sighted Chinggis Khaan holds a golden whip in his right hand. Continue to Terelj National park. You’ll explore the extraordinary formation of rocks and stones; some of them look quite similar to turtles. The Terelj National Park incorporates parts of Khentii Mountain Range. Horseback riding trial. Overnight in tourist camp.

After breakfast, drive to Ulaanbaatar city. National museum of Mongolia and Gandan monastery. This museum is a cultural, scientific, and educational organization, which is responsible for the collection and conservation. Visit Bogd Khan Palace, which is a series of beautiful traditional buildings, where the last religious King of Mongolia resided. You will be taken to souvenir and cashmere shops before enjoying an evening concert of National Folklore.
